Conditions and Other Information
Stirling Range Retreat is an Accredited Tourism Business with the Tourism Council of Western Australia, Registration Number TCWAGS -4. 401 - 0016. Our Chalets rate 3 stars from the AAAT, and the Retreat Tourist Park is 4 stars. We pride ourselves in offering the highest standards of service to all our guests.
Checking in and out
- Check in time is 2:00pm.
- Departure time is strictly before 10:00am.
- Late departures require prior arrangement and a fee applies.
Day visitors welcome - You're most welcome to use some of the Retreat's facilities as a day visitor. Please see us at the office for information and to register. A small fee applies.
- Use of picnic facilities, BBQs, toilets - $4.00 per adult, $2.00 per child.
- Use of showers - $4.00 per person
- Use of pool (November to March) - $4 per person

- Shuttle Service for Hikers. Bookings are essential and Retreat car parking is at your own risk. Cost per car one way . Advance booking and prepayment essential.

Children's requirements
- Child under 2 years of age free with own bedding/carry cot.
- Chair restraint $3.00
- High chair hire $3:00
- Free waterproof from office to protect mattresses. Please request if there is any doubt about your child's toilet training. Mattress replacement is very costly.
- Carry Cot hire $15. We recommend your own carry cot if possible.
- Folda bed with all bedding provided $17.00 per night.
Bedding hire
- Linen, blanket and towel hire $2.50 per item (first night fee).
Swimming Pool
- Seasonal, open November to March.
Disabled persons' shower and Toilet
Orchid Function Centre with Kitchen
- Fee $90.00 daily for private functions and meetings. Has stoves, refrigeration, urn and toaster.
- Mugs, plates, glassware, cutlery for 50 persons - a fee applies. Seats 50 persons.
Camp Kitchen
- Shared facilities - fridge, freezer, BBQ, microwave, electric jug, toaster and gas burners.
- Available for private functions commencing after 8.30 by special arrangement during off-peak times. Tariff $70 per day.
Food
- Breakfast Basket - for one $10 includes eggs, bread, fruit cereal & spreads. Extras bacon $7, juice $1:10. Ordered from the Retreat office and delivered to you the previous evening.
- Frozen food - BBQ packs (Porterhouse steak with 2 sausages) frozen quiche, feta & spinach pasties, apple pies, bread & milk for sale. Other provisions for sale.
- Ice - available at Retreat. Cool drink - vending machine on site. Alcohol - we suggest BYO.
- Meals - all units are well equipped to self cater.
Ecotourism guidelines
- Sorry, no cats or dogs allowed. We are creating a safe bush retreat for birds and native animals.
- Campfires? Sorry no. Communal braziers Yes! Bake jacket potatoes and toast marshmallows. Guests are welcome to light these from May to September. Free mill ends are provided by the Retreat. To maintain bio-diversity leaf litter and fallen tree debris must not be disturbed.
- Thank you for helping to keep green areas green. To prevent destruction of orchid beds and all fragile ground cover, well pounded Kangaroo trails and designated paths are marked for exploring the Retreat precinct, visiting friends, the National Park, and Café. Basically we are establishing separate human areas and green areas to create an eco park for your children's grandchildren. Thank you for using Retreat roadways, firebreaks and marked trails whilst out and about.
